He had his primary and secondary schools in Osun State before moving to Lagos State University where he studied accounting. Mayorkun was a part of the choir group and it was there he learned how to play musical instruments.

Mayorkun Early Life And Education.
Mayorkun is an indigene of Osun State, Nigeria. While growing up, Mayorkun joined the choir department in his church, it was there he learned how to play musical instruments like piano, drums, and guitar. He was born on 23 March 1994 into a family of entertainers. He is the first child of a family of three. His parents are both entertainers, his father is an artist and a movie producer, his mom is a Nollywood actress. Before fame, he was a banker in a Nigerian bank he later dumped his banking job to focus on his musical career. Mayorkun graduated from the Lagos State University where he studied accounting.
Mayorkun Musical Career
While working in the bank, Mayorkun made several music covers that went unnoticed. He also inscribed many songs, played keyboard and other musical instruments but his efforts were somehow unyielding. In February 2016, Davido followed him on both Twitter and Instagram after the cover of Davido’s song “The Money” captured Davido’s attention. Mayorkun decided to resign from his bank job to focus on his dream. He got a call from Davido the day he resigned from his bank job and sent the songs he has composed to Davido. Mayorkun got signed to Davido Music Worldwide(DMW) in 2016 and released his single “Eleko” under the label. In 2018, Mayorkun released his first debut album “The Mayor Of Lagos” around November to December 2018, the album appeared on Billboard World Album Chart and was crowned 15 on the list. In July 2017, Mayorkun released his hit single “Mama” which also topped many platforms.
