Famous Nigeria disc jockey, Florence Otedola professionally known as DJ Cuppy has taken to social media to pen down how she oversaw her multiple rejections in her field.
The billionaire daughter said this on her verified Twitter page while she lectured fans on the benefits of not giving up.
According to the Gelato crooner, for every achievement and “YES” in her career, there are about nine (9) “NOs”. Stressing that her rejection rate is so high that she’s now used to it.
Cuppy further added that the high rate of rejection serves as a motivation to her, adding that it neither scrapes her ego nor halts her dreams because she’s a fighter and believes in destiny.
In her words;
“Lemme tell you a secret, for every achievement and YES you’ve seen in my career there’s about 9 NO’s. My rejection rate is very high, but I’m now used to it… This never bruises my ego nor stops my dreams, because I am a fighter and believe in destiny.
I REALLY want you to understand this and learn from me- STOP waiting for things to happen; MAKE them happen. You don’t ask, you don’t get”.
