Tobechukwu Victor Okoh known professionally by his stage name Peruzzi is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, stage performer, and recording artist. He was born on 5 December 1989 and hails from Imo State, Nigeria. He rose to stardom after he got featured on 2Baba’s 2018 hit song “Amaka”. He is currently signed to Davido’s record label “Davido Music Worldwide (DMW)” also Peruzzi is a cousin to Davido’s fiance, Chioma.

Peruzzi Early Life and Education
Peruzzi was born by professional parents, his father, an engineer and his mother, a nurse. He started recording music at the age of 7 when his father bought him a piano. He was born into a family of 3, he is the last child and also the only male child with two sisters. He had his primary school at Lerato Primary School, Egbeda and secondary school at Command Secondary School, Ikeja, Lagos State. After secondary school, he stopped recording songs and decided to further his studies. This landed Peruzzi in Ukraine where pursue a first degree in Medicine and Surgery at the Odessa State National University. While in the University, Peruzzi always attend music concerts with friends, writing songs and also playing musical instruments. All these he balanced with his medical school. His friends knew Peruzzi emits good vibes when it comes to music, they organized a show for him on Valentine’s day and Peruzzi did exceedingly well. He later dropped out during his year 5 in school and moved back to Nigeria to focus on his music.

Peruzzi started at a tender age, he started recording at the age of 7 and learnt rudiments of music. At this time, he was into Christian songs because Peruzzi was born into a Christian family. He later stopped music for a while to focus on his studies. Peruzzi was first signed by Patrick Anyaele the CEO of Golden Boy Entertainment in 2016. Under Golden Boy Entertainment, he released few tracks like “Tap Out” where he collaborated with Golden Boy and also collaborated with LK Kuddy on another track “For Your Pocket”. When Davido saw some of his songs, he liked Peruzzi’s vibe and became a fan of his music, and played his song on Snapchat. During this time, Davido was on a US tour. Upon his return, he linked up with Peruzzi at a nightclub and told him to come to his house the next day that was how Peruzzi got signed into Davido’s record label. Peruzzi’s fame started after he got featured on 2Baba’s 2018 hit single “Amaka”. He also released his first hit under Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) called “Majesty”. Majesty was an iconic track, it gained huge airplay and also returned positive reviews from music critics. In 2021 Peruzzi released a 20 track album with a guest appearance from Fireboy DML, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, Phyno, Don Jazzy, Patoranking, Set Up, and Boylexxie.

- In June 2019, Peruzzi allegedly assaulted Twitter influencer in a club. According to source, Peruzzi ordered his bodyguard to slap the influencer over some old tweets where the influencer criticized him for comparing himself to Teni, stating that Teni is better than Peruzzi in terms of making good music. However Peruzzi and his boss, Davido later apologized and resolved the whole matter
- In January 2020 Peruzzi’s signing to DMW was disputed by his former boss, who accused Peruzzi of contract breach. According to the COE of Golden Boy Entertainment, King Patrick, Peruzzi introduced him to Davido as a guy who helped him shoot a video. He also stated that Davido was aware of Peruzzi being signed to Golden Boy Entertainment and still went ahead to sign Peruzzi. Peruzzi on the other hand, fired shots at his former boss saying Patrick Anyaele annoyingly broke a laptop on which he had recorded 27 songs because he had issues with his girlfriend. He also accused Mr. Patrick that he sold his songs to Nollywood and other individuals without his consent.
